Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Charlotte and I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD (recently as in the past week), when for almost 14 years I had been told I had bipolar disorder. Unfortunately, the only way that was treated was with more and more medication. I have been taken off some of that, and am starting to feel something again (both good and bad).
I am trying to read as much as I can about PTSD, and I am looking forward to learning from this message board as well. If it's okay, I thought I might share my story, as there's really no one here to talk to about it--would it be appropriate to put a "flag" in the title of the post, so that others will know the message might be triggering if they are having a hard time? I don't want to make things worse for anyone else.
Again, I look forward to talking with you all.
Take care,
Charlotte

HI Mrsc2007 and welcome,
I hope you find the answers you are looking for here and in therapy and in research - the best ptsd book i have read was the ptsd sourcebook by glen shiraldi (not sure if thats how you spell the surname) its hard to know what peoples triggers are - so cant help with that - putting a flag in the subject line is a good idea.
Just wanted to say welcome
