Hi all, I'm the one who has a sister who was diagnosed in August with stage 3 cervical cancer. She's getting near the end of her treatment (chemo and radiation, braxytherapy), but is having a problem with the remaining week of her radiation treatment.

She had been using a certain radiation machine for her radiation treatments, but was changed to another machine and is having severe pain. Her doctor said it is a different, more intense treatment because it is her last 5 treatments. She said the treatment is longer on this machine, and the pain in unberable.

Have any of you experienced this? She said it's so awful that she panics at the thought of even going for these last 4 treatments.

I appreciate your help, Donna

Donna, I am so sad to hear these treatments are hurting your sister so badly. I hope she has told her doctor about how much it hurts. Surely they can do something to help her. Please let her know that there is a light at the end of this tunnel and that she has people from far away who are rooting for her!
