Hi, I am new to this board...
We have been ttc for 4 years. We found out in Dec. 2000 that my DH has no sperm (very shocking and sad news). We choose to use Donor Sperm (not an easy decision). Since then I have achieved 2 pregnancy with IUI doing GonalF -- Both pregnancies ended in Miscarriage at 9 weeks. I am hoping to have a happy ending soon -- we are in the process of testing me to see whey I had 2 miscarriages? Anyone else have a similar story? I would love some words of wisdom in this roller coaster ride!!

Sorry to hear about dh and your miscarriages. Have you been tested for antibodies?? That could be causing you miscarriages. Also has you husband been tested for a testicular obstruction. Men with Azoospermia (no sperm) many times have an obstruction. This can be taken care of with and outpatient surgical procedure. From my understanding men with no sperm in their ejaculate almost 100% of the time have sperm in their testicles. It dosen't hurt to ask. Have you??

Yes, we went through a year of testing and found that he has no "germ" cells which produce "sperm" cells. It is really rare to have this condition. After exhausting ALL tests we decided to try using donor sperm and have been ttc ever since. I have been tested for antibodies etc. etc. I am waiting to hear back from a biospy I had done last week to determine if the lining of my uterus is thick enough to carry the baby to term. It's so hard to be patient sometimes and know that God has a plan for us. Any one else been through something like this?? I would love some feedback. Thanks for listening.

tennisgal,
Another thing to have checked is your level of progesterone. If you are not producing enough progesterone which helps the fetus attach to the lining etc., you can have a m/c. This is easily taken care of by taking progesterone supplements 2 days after ovulation until AF or until 12-16 wks of pregnancy.
Hope this helps and welcome to the board. THese are a great bunch of ladies!
