The WORST part, is that for the last four days I've been nauseous, had headaches, had a nasty taste in my mouth and many other lovely symptoms telling me that perhaps my IUI had worked.

Great, so now along with having the horrific 2ww all over again, I have a mind that's so strong it's going to create phantom symptoms for me every month.

Anyone else experience this?

I am so sorry for your BFN. I had the same experience during my 2ww too, I think maybe it's caused by the clomid or HCG.

That is sooo wild! I am taking injectibles and going to do an IUI as soon as my follies develop. I will also have to do a "HCG" shot. It is good to know there may be "phantom" pregnancy symptoms. How strange and disappointing- I am so sorry. Keep your chin up!!!

owenville ~ don't think you are the only one that has every "convinced" themselves that they were pg b/c they were having every symptom in the book! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/heart.gif I think we have all done it once or twice. Also, if you are on a progesterone supplement that will give you every pg sign possible only to lead you to the dreaded AF.

Thanks for the supportive words everyone - I truly love this board. Even when I'm not posting all the time, I'm here lurking and reading constantly!

My period is also very strange - runnier (more mucousy - yes, that is now a word http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif!!) than usual, and it was so painful to use a tampon I have to use pads until I go for my baseline u/s tomorrow to start the clomid/IUI cycle all over again.

That sound familiar to anyone? The pain? The different type of period?

This is all so new to me - but I'm happy to be part of this group, albeit for this reason, you all rock!

I know exactly what you mean about the mucousy period. My last two cycles have been like that when they are just starting out. It's like pink/ red blood mixed in with egg white like CM (cervical mucous). WIERD!!! Sometimes I get a cyst from the clomid which causes me pain, then I have to sit out a month. Yeah, that's exactly where it is. Normally my cramps are pretty bad, but it was just EXCRUTIATING this morning. And when I put the tampon in, it was almost like there was something in the way; it hurt so much I couldn't use it.

OMG! That's exactly the way I felt HUGE IN THERE! I thought I lost a tampon! Felt like I had one in on top of the other. I could hardly get the damn thing in, so dug around (sorry gross) and everything inside felt SOOOOOO SWOLEN, I had to stand up each time to get the damn tampon in. I started wearing pads too instead of fooling around with the tamps. I have a 1 1/2 inch cyst on my left ovary. With my period, it makes everything hurt. We're here everyday - I'm sitting eating dinner, reading about CM and women shoving their fingers inside checking their cervixes, and "Gosh, does it SMELL like my period? Or could it be implantation bleeding?!"

I have pregnancy symptoms even when I am not in the 2WW!! Everyone is so desperate that we just listen too much to our body. I swear half the time I am nauseous it is because I have gas or I am dehydrated!! I always sit in front of the computer in the morning with my big bowl of cereal and read about cm, AF, tampons, constipation, sperm, etc. and I don't even miss a beat- We are strange creatures huh??
