I'm 21 and have been obese since I was 5 maybe younger, I can't really remember any way, I have never been successful at losing weight I am now thinking of getting the duodenal switch but, I am unable to b/c of financial hardship and I was wondering if anyone knows of a way I can get some financial assistance? Thanks so much!:angel:

Do you have any medical insurance? M husband had a gastric bypass 6 years ago and the insurance paid because he had medical problems caused by obesity. Make sure you check before you count it out.

Adina, It is a tough decision that you are making. You realize the risks I hope and that you will be on a strict diet probably for the rest of your life. The good news is you will lose a lot of eight fast. <removed> And good luck to you. Making this decision means you must have tried everything possible.
