I am just learning about using Robitussin while reading these boards. I have a few questions:
1) What kind is used?
2) Take 2 tbsp. 3x a day?
3) Anyone's ob's/RE actually prescribe this?
4) What does it actually do?

I did this! I don't know if 100% of the credit can be given to Robitussin or not, but I did it!

1-PLAIN Robitussin. I used the Walmart brand. Not the DM or anything else like that, but PLAIN. The active ingredient is Guaifenesin.

2-I took one cap full (2Tbsp. I believe - it's on the box) in the morning and again at night. YUCK! It was horrible. LOL

3-I didn't try it while going to an RE, but I have heard doctor's who have said that you could try it.

4-It thins out mucus. Make sure you drink lots of water with it. But with thinning out the mucus, it helps the little fellas swim up there and stick around longer!

I was looking at Dr. Roseff's message board, someone also asked if Robitussin thinned out cervical mucus. If you go the the Dollar Store you can pick up Guifenisen liquid for only $1.oo. I used it and we were preg. the first month I tried it. I have very little CM and it really helped. Cleared my sinus passages like wildfire too!!
