I am 9-10weeks post op and walking normally, with hardley any pain on the sight that was worked on (unless i have been on it all day). But now i have lots of pain under the second toe about the middle of my foot. did any of you experience this, i have brought it up once with the doc, but i will bring it up again cause its getting a little worse each week. my toes look weird too there is a V shape between the big toe and the other toys. If i could just get some insight that would be great. thanks

you must ask your dr and show him. sometimes the ball of the foot just hurts and i really dont know why. i have a v between my 1st and 2nd toe and it is called hallus varux. i am sure yours is due to the fusion. post when you know.

make sure to get an x ray if it is hurting that bad. maybe it could be a bone spur on the top.

It could also be a stress fracture at the base of the second metatarsal. Mine hurt only on top and just got progressivly worse until I was put in the post op sandal. Mine happened right after joint debridement surgery because I was walking differently than I was before the surgery. I was putting stress on the second toe that wasn't there for a long time because I had an improper gait pattern due to scar tissue impingement.
