Dear Aunt Flo,
Today, I ordered The Complete Idiot's Guide to Adoption. DH shocked me last night. He asked where I was in the pursuit of "child procurement". Besides this being a very funny choice of words, I didn't quite understand. I said are you talking about adoption or IVF. He said both. I thought he was against IVF, and I'm struggling with adoption. (I feel that it would be another 3 years, and that bio clock hasn't stopped ticking.) He stated he was fine pursing IVF as long as we simultaneously pursued adoption. So, since he came half way, I met him there, and then I ordered the book. It was recommended by the America Infertiltiy Association.
One good thing might result from adoption. If it happens, then I can let my PCO take over again, and I'll make you disapper for 6 months a time again. Good Riddance!
Aunt Flo, its been 27 days since you last visited me. And during this break month, dh and I had many decisions to make. Since we finally reached an agreement, I would like to go back to the doc next week. I'm going to ask about 5 questions before I finalize our decision. I think, since insurance pays for most of an IUI, I'm going to try my third an final IUI. I'm also going to schedule the IVF consult. The last IUI will give us time to arrange the financing.
I'm also thinking about driving either 1.5 hours south or east and going to the clinics in Columbus or Cincinnati. The success rates are so much higher in those clinics. I'm still undecided about the one I just started with in February. Infertiltiy treatmetns seems like a part time occupation to them. The first occupation is teaching.
It seems the closer I get to reaching a decsion about the future, the more questions I encounter. But even though it's taken us 27 days to reach an agreement, I think we reached one we are both happy with.
OK AF - I'm ready! Bring it on and don't be late this month! lol
Mindy
P.S. I think this silly letter resulted for fatigue. It's been 5 long, busy days. Good Night. Talk to you all tomorrow.
