I am new here and joined to find out why I cannot get medical or SSI. I have had epilepsy for 30 years (uncontrolled) and cannot get any medical help I have had 12 seizures within the last two weeks (grandmals) and my body is starting to fail me something feirce... can anyone shed some light for me...I am very tired and mentally tired as well.

It took me almost TWO YEARS to win my legal paper fight and be qualified for Social Security. In 95% of cases first application is an auto turndown unless you have one leg and no arms (no joke).
I had over 10 seizures a month, I had brainsurgery, preexisting condition, was on max dose, near max of a second, and near max of a third when I had my hearing in front of a judge for Social Security. Paper did nothing for my process, they didn't see a person, just papers on their desk. I had to pay for a lawyer and see a judge to push it farther up the food chain. Costly, time some, but it worked.
If you have a legitimate case it's worth going through.

thats really messed up since i know one woman who gets disability for having a lazy eye! shes also on medicare. my mom cant get anything and she has a tumor that has tindrals wrapped all around and through her hip and is causing bladder probs and spinal probs as well. some days she can barely get out of bed. its a shame how the government works.
