I had a Morton nuroma in my left foot aabout 5 yrs. ago. The Dr. operated and removed the nerve, never had any problems. For the past two or three months now I have been getting a very sharp electric like tingle along the outer topside of the same foot. I can't see the dr. for another 6 weeks, any idea what it could be?

I had mortons neuroma surgery done in my left foot 5 months ago and they also removed the nerve. I was experiencing an occasional electric tingle sensation, but it seems to have gone away now. Don't know exactly what causes it. Seems weird that yours would flare up after 5 years.
When you had your nerve removed with your neuroma surgery, did you toes remain numb? That was I am experiencing along with tightness at the incision area as well as a little soreness on ball of foot, right underneath incision area. My pod says it can take up to a year for everything to "settle down". How long was the full recovery for you?

Sounds like the nerve regenerated and you probably are getting another neuroma. If the sensation returned after the first surgery that is probably the case. Try icing, antiinflammatories, and place a metatarsal pad in your shoe just behind the metatarsal heads to try to spread the metatarsal slightly to prevent the pinching of the nerve.
