Well my daughter who is now 2 gets the biggest cold sore on her face (yes face not lips). She has gotten them since the first time she got the flu. From what I know about herpes, if her immune system is down then she gets one. It's in the same place everytime and of course I am very worried that it is going to eventually leave a scar. Tiss the season for the flu and she's on her 2nd one in 4 weeks. Needless to say, she wasn't totally healed from the first one. The cold sore gets to be the size of a quarter and is very very thick. I have finally have a perscription that I'm suppose to give her 4 times a day, as soon as you see the first signs of it. Does anyone else out there have the same situation with a toddler? What specialists are out there?

Not a toddler but I know several people with large ones on their face. Do you have herpes type 2?

No, my husband gets cold sores. My doctor hasn't talked about that, just that the medication should help. What is the name of a specialist can I see?
