He very well may outgrow it. Take him to a pediatric orthopedic surgeon for a determination.

I wore a brace on my legs at night for several years when I was young. I was VERY pigeon toed (and still am slighty so.) These days, I think most doctor just let the child outgrow it. I'd definitely check with your pediatrician and/or pediatric orthopedic surgeon.

What does the pediatrician say? He might not be bad enough for braces. My son wore special shoes with inserts and the brace at night and for the inconvenience of it all didn't make that much difference. He was actually too old at the time of diagnosis(he was already walking). IT was very tramatic for him at the older age to wear those braces because it took away his ability to walk after bedtime. He is now 40 and still has one foot that turns inward...but not so sure that would of been that way anyway.
