I fell and fractured the ball of my hip on June 4, 2008 and on June six the surgeon used three screws for the repair. Since then I've had P.T. and also now I walk in the pool forty min. four times a wk. I did have a light limp before the fall but now it is exaggerated and I can not balance on that leg. I have no pain. Xrays always show the screws holding fine with no deterioration in tissue around ball. Have not had an MRI. Doctor says she will do tests for nerve damage. When using a cane I walk without a limp, without the cane I feel pain in lower back. My questions: what is next if there is nerve damage? Any chance with the exercise program and pool walking I will eventually walk with out this limp? I am in very good health....much work and many years to come.
