I did my trigger shot last night- and it burned!!! It was really wierd b/c the other injections were fine. Let me know if anyone has had this happen before.

My RE gave me the whole dose of HCG (10,000) and it did not burn. However, the nurse gave me the trigger. Maybe certain brands of HCG burn and some do not. . . not really sure why . . . Did u do OPK this AM?? Good luck http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

adkins - YES!!!!!!!!!!!! it stung me so bad! dh had to give it to me in the butt, and it hurt! the worst shot by far is progesterone - i had to have that shot to induce my period, and then after my procedure in july i will do two shots of progesterone a day - ouch! hang in there! :-( baby dust!!! :-) jen

My husband gave me the shot, and as I was yelling out- he was like, "what is your problem??" I think he thought he did something wrong (and so did I)!!! Thanks for the info.

yes the HCG shot always burns like crazy for me. It is the only one that does it. I lay there cussing like crazy while my DH gives it to me and it lasts for about five minutes after. You can actually feel it going in. I asked my RE and they agreed that it does burn and should be the worst of all of them. Fortunately, that one is only once a month!
