I talked to my sister today about what worked for her during the cycle she concieved. She said that she was on clomid and then estorgen on days 10 - 20. Has anyone else done the estorgen part of the cycle? What is the name of the medicine? My sister didn't remember.
Thanks,
Mindy

I'm not sure what the name of the synthetic med is, but you can buy estrogen cream.

Hi
I was glad to see this post today! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I just started taking estrogen today (Days 8-12) The name of it is Estradiol. I started with Clomid (Days 3-7) and now taking Estradiol. I was wondering what the "side" effects were of this med. I take 6 pills twice a day (.5mg) I really didn't have any "side" effects with the clomid.
GOOD LUCK!

Hiya Mares! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif
Don't need any clot busting dust this month. AF was very cooperative. Day 30 right on schedule. That means I can pop in on the doc for a baseline on Tuesday. My case manager doc only works on Tuesdays and I haven't seen him since February. Mabye, I can change a few things treatment wise http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif.
I'm totally clueless http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/confused.gif about what my FSH and estrogen levels are. But my old doc drew my blood more than a thirsty vampire, and my new doc has the records. I'm sure if something was out of wac they would have let me know.
Clomid and estrogen worked for my baby sister. I'm hoping what worked for her will work for me. At this point, I'm willing to try anything new. Ya know what I mean? But I can't officially change my regimen until after the third IUI is complete. However, I going to try to tweak it here and there a few dozen times. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Did you catch any rays at the pool today? Catch any good views?
Good Luck,
Mindy

Mindy,
Yes, I took estrogen with each of my clomid cycles because I had a thin endo lining. It was called estradiol, it was cheap, and I don't remember a huge number of side effects (may be just rose colored glasses). It helped quite a bit with my endo lining.
Good luck.

Sorry - I have WAY WAY too much estrogen as it is so I don't need any. With PCOS I tend to be Estrogen dominant and produce very little progesterone.
