Hi everyone!
I had surgery yesterday for a tailor's bunion. The doc said he removed the bump from the toe, broke the little toe, set it, shortened it a little and also made it a little taller (not sure why). He also inserted a plate with 2 screws. I am NWB for at least 2 weeks (until I go back to see him), and completely elevated for that period of time.
He also did a nerve block so my foot would be numb. The numbness wore off early this morning, and now the pain is definitely there. He gave me vicodin every 4-6 hours, and also told me to take ibuprofen in between the vicodin.
I will keep posting with updates. Am extremely nervous about any long-haul recovery!!!
