I've just yesterday been diagnosed with HPV. I've had the warts for a couple of months but my GP thought they were skin tags, but as I developed more he sent me to the sexual health clinic. I've had one course of cryo (ow!) and the dr gave me some Aldara cream.
My partner shows no signs or abnormalities and he is very very supportive. I don't really know much about this disease and i'm really upset that I have it, as I have been told it never goes away, just lies dormant until time of stress or sickness. I had glandular fever a few years ago and that's lowered my immune system, what kinds of food and vitamin supplements should I have to boost my immune system and how else can I try to keep this at bay?

Hello munchkin, there is some great information at the Center for Disease control regarding HPV. I'm glad to hear you have a supportive partner, my husband was/is supportive also and never had any outbreaks (knock on wood)----I also had warts, skin tag ones like yours.
I was told to keep immune system strong I needed to take vitamins, folic acid (many times they are in the vitamins), no smoking, excercise, keep stress levels low and good diet. As far as foods go dark greens, fish, fruits and veggies are always good. Also there are spices that contain good things, green tea and other teas are good too. I'm sure if you do some research on the computer you'll find some great information.
