Anyone have this ? I mean a real shortness of breath upon NOT MUCH exertion at all. Simple simple things.

It's scary.

I'm beginning to wonder if I have asthma again.

I don't like this feeling. Then I feel as though I MUST collaspe onto the bed for a time.

HELP ???????

My son has asthma. Although its under control at this time, I've been told he will have asthma the rest of his life. If you've had it in the past, it may very well be flaring up again. Can you tell if its the inhale or exhale that's the real problem? With my son it seens its the exhale. I don't know how long ago it was since you've had symptoms but I know the meds (at least for my son have greatly improved) in the last few years. Also my sons asthma is not activity induced, only allergy or illness induced. His asthma flares up before even a fever or a sore throat when was about to get strep. You may have something triggering your asthma, if it gets worse, so may your asthma. After many nights in the ER with my son, I have learned asthma can go bad FAST. Can you call your doctor and let him know? Asthma or not, short of breath cant be good. Let me know.

Snickers,
You're probably referring to "air hunger" which is very common in Mito. It's a feeling like no matter what you do you cannot get enough oxygen. Definitely speak to your mito doc about it to see what you can do to prevent or make it better during symptoms.
