I was just diagnosed this week with genital warts. And while I have learned a weaker immunity tends to make you break out more often, I don't know what more I could do to strengthen my immunity?
I take multivitamins, get the right nutrients, and drink pro-biotic drinks. Since my diagnosis I have noticed Im a little ran down and tired. I think this may be due to the stress of the diagnosis and that horrible cream!!!
I was wondering if anyone has felt tired/ran down because of their HPV and/or their treatments. Im on the Aldara(sp) cream, and there seems to be a ton of side effects listed... maybe my body is getting used to the cream? i am not sure!
I didn't really get the run down from my doc. about other potential effects of HPV besides the warts.

Along with the things you are doing, I was told to take folic acid. Of course diet, excercising, no smoking and keeping stress levels low are important! Stess can have negative affects not only mentally but physically so you need to find an outlet to help bring that down. I know it is easier said than done, I was there at one time but then decided although I could not change what had happened, I was not going to let the diagnosis ruin my happiness and to focus on all the positive things in my life. Is the cream still causing discomfort or is it getting better? Have a good day!

Yeah, I think the cream and stress with everything is causing my tiredness! It says the cream can cause flu like symptoms... and funny I kinda felt that way since starting it! but I guess I can stick with it. I have a crappy immunity and I get sick with the strangest things.
I noticed the scabbing/red area starting to happen down there, so it looks like it might be working. My third dose is tonight. But dear god, when my dr. said this stuff hurts...she was not lying!!! haha. wow.

Sounds painful! My doctor was a bit more agressive and cut my warts out with a scalpel and sent in to be biopsied, maybe it was because of my age (38 y/o). I have heard the cream can be painful but it sounds like it is working.

well, I don't even think they could cut mine off, they are very small warts. She said the topical treatments should work for me. Just to be sure, I scheduled an appt on the 25th, to check on the warts and get retested for all stds!
The side effects have worn off a little, im a bit more energized that I was. Maybe I am not as stressed about the diagnosis as I was in the beginning.
