Hi all:
Well, I made it through the surgery just fine. According to my wife it was "best case scenario" according to my surgeon. He said he did not have to do anything to the joints themselves as they were in good shape. The only bad note so far is that I had to quit ALL of my pain meds after only 2 days because I had a allergic reaction and started to develop breathing problems. It really didn't matter anyway though, for my pain level was 0 the first day due to the nerve block, and from a 3 to a 4 on the morning of day 3. I quit all meds except 3-4 advil every 6 hours as per Drs. office instruction.
I'm now sitting at my computer [which is upstairs] with a pain level of 0. The foot is not elevated either.
What's really freaky is that I have to remind myself NOT to even touch the floor with the righ foot.
I mean I CAN make it hurt LOL don't get me wrong. I am beginning to think that I am just REALLY LUCKY.
Oh, as far as swelling goes that is pretty much what I would expect. When the foot is down it swells more.
That's all for now. I'm not going to push my luck so I'm going to go put the foot up again.
More later
