Hi all

I am now past the 9 week mark actually. I am completely crutch free but still in the boot/aircast. When I posted about taking those first steps a few weeks ago I never thought this day would come!

I am so enjoying doing normal everyday things again! We actually had people over for the football game yesterday. I cooked lots of food and enjoyed margaritas like a "normal" person again! BUT on Saturday I did some shopping (yipppeee) and found out I still need to take it easy. My foot was really sore (especially the heel) and my other foot (next surgery) was worse. I can't believe another surgery is in my future when I am just getting my life back ugh!

I am supposed to be getting in a shoe this week. I was told to keep wearing my orthodics so I need to find a comfy shoe big enough for room for the orthodic and the swelling that I still have. I am sure I can get that done!

As far as PT......I think I have said that my doc is not pushing it at all and I am going to see how it goes with the shoes etc before I ask for it. I know that may be controversial here but that is how it's going so far!

Glad to hear you are doing well. Are you getting close to being able to shed the boot??? Hope so!
