Babies naturally crave those who care for them. If he wants you to hold him, you could consider investing in a Mei Tei, wring sling, Moby wrap, hot sling, or some other good quality carrier. We have a hotsling and LOVE it. My son is 17 months old and we still use it in the hip carry position. He loves to be held and I love to hold him. My suggestion really is, if he doesn't like the stroller, get a good carrier.

I totally agree with previous poster. I remember when DD was that age and she didn't want to stay in the stroller I would think, "Is she ever going to let me put her down?" I would stress about it. Now I know that it is just a phase, and soon that little guy will be saying, "Down please", like my DD is. So, I say, if he wants to be held, hold him. Those days go by so quickly. I have a Moby wrap, 2 ring slings, a hot sling, and a snuggli. My favorite by far is the moby. It is a bit tricky to figure out, but once you do, it is so comfortable and snuggly.

Hope that helps!

Babies want to be carried and close, I would also look into a sling. I have a Hotsling, I believe they hold up to 35 pounds. I still use this with my 2.5 year old for nightly walks.

I also would suggest holding him if he wants to be held. My DD is 8 months hardly ever wants us to hold her anymore...all she wants to do is crawl, so enjoy it while you can =)

Think of it this way: you love your husband, you want to hug and cuddle with him, and he keeps pushing you away. That's how your baby feels. A sling will help your baby to feel close to you and you will have your arms free to do what you want to do. As a previous poster says, it'll be soon enough that your baby will be running away at every opportunity, so enjoy the now.
