I have a pain in my right side that's been there for a few days. It's just beneath the rib cage, close to the back. It hurts most when I'm lying down, and taking a deep breath. Any advice wld be helpful.

Have you been checked out by a doctor if not, you may need to have it checked out. There's a possibility you could be suffering from pnuemonia.

Hi & Welcome :)
The pain you've described sounds like it's coming from your lung...There's many reasons people have pain in their, "right side", including intestinal trouble, appendix, kidney stone/infection, even muscle spasm, however when you have pain when taking a, "deep breath" , most of the time it's related to your lung, possibly pneumonia, or even a collasped lung. Please see your MD, ASAP, because if it's lung related, the quicker you get treated, the better.

Definitely go to the Dr. I had same pains one time and went to Dr and turned out it was my gall bladder. I was told to go to ER immediately for an ultrsound as gall stones can be dangerous. Even if it isn't gallstones, it could be pneumonia, pluerisy, bronchitis ( breathing hurts) OR if you have had bronchitis in the past it could be constracondritis.
