I would like to know if anyone has tried or used any herbal rememdy to deal with acid reflux, more specifically "esophageal dysphagia?" It's when acid reflux causes the esophagus to contract or makes it difficult to swallow.

I understand acid reflux can cause this and other things, and I am changing my diet. However, I would like to know if there is anything in an herbal remedy to try, that not only could help with this, but also help in easing spasms of the esophagus and muscles in general. Reseach has led me to find out about "Baptesia tincotria" and "Valerian (Valeriana officinalis)" - however, I just don't know where to buy them, and if indeed they come in tea-form. Does anyone know?

dgl licorice will heal stomach ulcers so it would probably help with reflux.

I would make sure it is really acid reflux that is causing the difficulty swallowing. I had this problem literally for 10 years. Everytime I ate something there was a risk it would get stuck. Not like I couldn't breatj, but I couldn't swallow anything else, including water. So I would have to wait, sometimes for a long time, until the food actually went down. I went to see the doctor and had my throat stretched and it is fine now. I wish I did it a long long time ago. It is a simple procedure also trust me. In and out of there, nothing to it.

How much does this procedure cost? Where there other tests performed before doing this?
