I bought chelated magnesium and on the label it reads:

Magnesium (as Citrate, TRAACS Magnesium Lysyl Glycinate Chelate)
Serving Size: 2 capsules
Amount per serving: 235mg
% Daily Value: 59%

I also bought a liquid mineral supplement that contains:
Calcium (as calcium carbonate/and calcium orotate) 1200mg
Magnesium (as magnesium hydroxide) 600mg

It also has Chondrotin, VD3, Glucosamine, Mangaenese, etc

My question is, is it OK to take 600mg of the Magnesium Hydroxide
AND 235 - 470mg of the magnesium citrate on a daily basis?

I'm currently having muscular problems (spasms, tightness)
tension headaches, and constipation.

that much magnesium will take care of your constipation!! if you get diarrhea, just cut back on the dose a bit. i think kava and valerian root will help more. usually going over 600mg of mag a day can cause diarrhea. but try those together, it should help. feverfew is also good for headaches.
