Hi, its hard to answer depends on what the symptoms are, there are autonomic nerves, motor nerves & sensory nerves they all have differant functions.
Common peripheral nerve damage can be pain,tingling, burning, coldness, high sensitivity, balance problems & the list goes on & on.

I had a nerve conduction study and EMG which showed no nerve conduction due to an entrapped peroneal nerve in my foot. The nerve conduction tests are very accurate as far as nerve damage goes.
