Hello all, it's been months since I posted on here, mostly because I am so busy with my 2 little ones. :) To make a long story short, my 4 month old has been sleeping through the night for just over 2 weeks now and we are all much more rested and happy about it. She had sort of started a napping routine and was eating approx. 23-25 oz. of formula per day, on the lower end of the average I guess but doing fine (she has had pretty bad reflux but is improving and doing much better now). But just a few days ago, she suddenly started resisting her naps, screaming like crazy when we put her down at her normal "sleepy" time. She threw everything out the window as far as her schedule, she had been consistently eating at about the same time every day, every 4 hours but now it's like she is hungry all the time and went one day from eating about 24 oz. up to 31 the next day. She seems to want to eat more often and eats more at each feeding and she will hardly sleep at all and even last night had a tough time going to sleep and took way over her normal amount of formula. She is still sleeping at night good but it's during the day where she is thrown off and I am worried she is not getting enough daytime rest. So far today, she's had a 15 minute nap and then about 30 minutes. (used to be a couple of hours a day) So I guess our problems are regarding napping mostly. Oh, we did try to start her on some spoon fed cereal but she will have none of it, she does already get cereal in her bottle because of the reflux so it's not something new just on a spoon would be new. could it be teething? Should we still try to stick to her routine or will this pass? we decided to move her back to a 3 hours schedule for now to see how she does. is she maybe restless because she has so much excitement going on, milestones etc... any ideas? (sorry so long...) mThanks!

Hi my daughter is 3 1/2 months old and she has been doing the same thing. She sleeps all night from 8:30 - 9:00p to 6 - 7 in the morning. But during the day she just takes cat naps that are anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes long. And i know they say that from 0-3 months your child is suppose to sleep anywhere from 16 to 20 hours a day. So im not really sure what the deal is. My little one likes to fight sleep which is a pain cuz then she gets so restless shes fussy. So if you have any info about helping her get to sleep with out having her cry her self to sleep or holding her till she falls asleep and praying you dont wake her when laying down i would really appreciate it. And i will see what kind of info i can get on this end for the "cat" naps during the day. Thanks Jessica
