first, hi everyone, i am so glad i found your board!

I need some help, I am so scared. I think I have ms. My mother has it and has for as long as I can remember. You see, about a year ago I had symptoms, like the tingeling, and the headaches, and some weird (I can't describe it) feelings all over my body... but I got pregnant and it went away.

recently, for about the last month, I have had the numbness and shooting painless feeling all over the place and in my face (espically when I eat hot foods or brush my teeth) plus this painful shooting tight jerky pain in my neck that makes my eye twitch.

I have also had a non stop headache, I thought it was all stress related to the new job and all, plus I have been sick, but it hasn't stopped, it's getting worse now to where I feel weak all over. I am always tired plus I seem to be stuck in a fog-- I can't think straight! I can bearly walk straight...

I am trying to find a neurologist so I can get an mri... but i never wanted this, I have always feared this.. I didn't want to be like my mom and I really need some support right now. I am so scared and depressed. I don't know what to do. I just don't feel like me anymore, and I am afraid I never will.

thanks for listening. sorry this was so long.

Anyone with your symptoms, and who lives in NY State, should be considering Lyme Disease as the primary culprit. Have you been worked up for this? When exactly did you begin to feel ill?

JLL,
Also, have you had a thyroid check ?
THe brain fog, fatigue, weakness could also be coz of thyroid issues ..
When was your baby born ?
I don't know why the pain but it wouldn't hurt to get the thyroid checked since that is a much more manageable problem

thanks, yeah I went to the doctor, he is going to do some blood work and nerve conduction studies. he actually made me feel better, although i still feel the same physically. I never thought of lyme disease before, but thanks for the info-- i really appreciate it.

my baby was born june 26th. I have been feeling this way for a while, about a year before my baby was born, but the symptoms stopped when I got pregnant, and returned with vengance after.

thank you os much for your responce and ideas, I will research the lyme disease.

take care!
JLL
