I was just wondering how long does it take for lung cancer to get to stage 4? I mean, how long can you have something growing inside of you like that without knowing until it is too late?

my hubby was diagonase in Sep. 2007. it was stage 3. then it spread to his stomach in May 2008. you never know what cancer will do. but if no treatmeant can be done with being too weak. which my hubby went through that. he last a little over 3 months. he died Nov 8. he did have treatmeant in Sept. and some in June. just too weak for it.

i lost my mom in july of 07.. in july 06 she went to the doctor with a cough... but had been sick for a few months before that... she was diagnosed in october with stage 4 cancer. it all depends on the type of cancer and how aggresive it is.
