hi guys,

this is on behalf of my uncle. he has secondary progressive ms and things are starting to get alot worse. my auntie was at mine in tears with worry for my uncle. basically it has targeted his back and the pain is unbearable. ive done my research and he seems to have tried every dmd( disease modifing drug).
doctors are now very reluctant to offer any further help with the pain. you can appreciate i imagine the pain he is in. it is becoming very difficault for my auntie to deal with now. its very emotional as you could imagine. i would like any advice on what to do next? is it developing into primary progressive? what can he take for this huge pain? please guys any help will be appreciated. the pain is almost a constant thing now where in the early stages he had short attacks. one thing i have seen is sativex. has anyone used it? any good? thabks for reading and all advice would be great.

thanks

stuart

When my nerve pain is especially intense, I use a heating pad to overwhelm my nerves. This has been the only relief I have found. Cold compresses or acupressure might also help. I use acupressure on the pain around my right eye and temporal region.

Your uncle may also be neglecting his triggers. He might need to look at his diet. I try to follow the Swank Diet. You might look at this too.
