Generally speaking, you shouldn't put rice cereal in a baby's bottle. Cereal is meant to be eaten starting as early as 4 months, not to be put into a bottle unless directed by your pediatrician. If that's the case, then you should ask your doctor.

I agree with Laura--don't put it in the bottle, unless your doctor has told you to do so--it's really, REALLY unnecessary (unless it's for a medical reason, like reflux).

I was told by my dr.to put .5 to a whole teaspoon in 4ozs. DD don't spit up anymore and she sleeps better.
