sounds like bad circulation. do your hands turn a pale or deep purple color? if so thats it... if not check with your doctor.

If you have MS, nerve damage can cause extremities to feel cold and numb. For me, if the wind is cold or I touch something cold, this can happen. Also the opposite can occur when the temperatures get too hot. The cold- for me- happens when the temperatures are 50-52 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, I wear some good gloves with thinsulate. I also have the same cold feeling in my head and will often wear a sock cap.

I agree with Jayhalk--I think this is called Raynaud's syndrome, but don't quote me on that. I have had this happen to me a few times, last winter and now this one, and I've had it in my feet too. I did make sure it wasn't my circulation, so I"m just going to blame the MS for it. However, this is something you should talk to your doctor about because it can be a sign of other illnesses. Poor circulation should be ruled out.
My hands will turn bluish-white and even after they feel warm, they'll stay numb for at least an hour, but never for very long. It scared the heck out of me the first time it happened!
