Fibro can't be clinically tested and diagnosis is sometimes only made after everything else is ruled out. A good rheumatologist can diagnose within a few minutes with a standard pressure test

I know nothing about Lyme disease, but have been diagnosed with fibro, thanks to an excellent gp who referred me to a rheumatologist who did a thorough pressure test.I have spells when I'm able to function fine, but other times when I can't get out of bed because of tiredness and pain. A good massage often helps abate the pain for some time, but I am unable to do much in the way of exercise apart from swimming in a warm pool .
I have no recollection of any trauma that could have brought this on, but it is a very real disease that can only be managed and not cured.
