My son that is 12 weeks has been coughing the last two weeks i have looked on the internet for reasons why babies cough. they had somany reasons but the symptoms were weezing and runny nose redness and all it is is that he's coughing everyso often but still remains happy and active. it doesnt seem as though anything major is wrong. I realized the coughing did not start until he had been making spit bubbles and drooling a lil bit. So this may seem crazy but i figured he may have been choking off his spit. Could this be true if he has no other symptoms???? Just in case i will make him an appointment to go to the dr's office this week.

Hi Sweetest Pink, my ds is a cougher as well:( He is 8 months and everytime he gets the slightest cold, he has this dry cough that hangs on and on for weeks, even when he seems great otherwise. Is your ds' cough sounding like a dry cough?

Mine has a cold that DH brought home, so ultimately ds got it:( He sleeps in our room so I have been keeping a humidifier in there and it has been working wonders! Whether or not your ds is sick, it may help...especially this time of year. My ds was also diagnosed as "asthmatic" meaning he doesn't actually have asthma as of yet, but the Dr. has seem him more than 3 times for wheezing...perhaps you could ask your ds's Dr. to take a look at him if he wheezes as well. Sorry if I wasn't much help, just thought I'd share what I do know about it:)

I took Ava to the dr a few weeks ago for the same thing. Coughing and sneezing every so often she would even sometimes look like she was gagging but the dr said it is all normal. The sneezing is clearing the nose of the boogies we can't get, the coughing is normal to unless it is alot like a cold and the gagging is alittle spitup that didn't make it all the way up and they gag to keep it our of their lungs.
