Hello everyone,

I have long personal and family history with mental illness and really appreciate this community. Here's my question:

Does anyone know how long it can take the body to flush out lithium? I have a close friend in the hospital right now who is recovering from lithium toxicity. She's been in a few days and is restless and confused. What can we expect from here on out?

I appreciate any experiences you might share--most of what's written on the Web is written for or by doctors. I also wish you all the best on your own journeys and healing.
