suki222 07-30-2003, 10:58 AM I just wanted to take a minute and thank everybody on the boards here. I'm in the middle of 2ww and was obsessing with what the outcome could be. Now the boards preoccupy me. Reading about others. Directing my positive energy and prayers toward those getting ready to find out, or those who have found out bad news, or those that found out good news. Learning about other methods like IVF, etc. Sharing my experiences with people who are just getting ready to go through something that I've already been through. I don't want to put this stuff out of my head, I just want to stop worrying all the time and joining this board a few days ago has made soooo much difference. I think if I ever get a BFP it'll be because this board helped me be a little less tense about it. You guys are awesome! I pray for great things for all of us! Lots and lots of little ones!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif
l8again 07-30-2003, 11:06 AM Suki,
I am with you, girl. I love this board. The ladies here are wonderful and very supportive. They keep my mind off of ME and I tend to pray and worry about THEM!! It is just a relief from my EVERY DAY living http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I always wanted to have a little one or be pg before I turned 30. But that is not going to happen. I am 30 today! It is my "Golden" birthday. July 30 and turning 30 should be a good one. My dh is taking me out tonight to a nice restaurant that has really good wine that I like. I am not drinking any "Just in Case!" BUT, I plan to buy a bottle!!! If AF shows up in a couple of weeks, I am popping the wine bottle open and having myself a glass or two. tee hee.
Have a wonderful day! This was a "Good" thread to start.

suki222 07-30-2003, 11:13 AM Happy birthday!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/birthday.gif
I wanted to have three by 30. I'm 31 now and I'll be 32 in October b4 any chance of having had one. Everything happens for a reason. It's all in the plan. Maybe our kids are going to be president and it wouldn't be appropriate for us to still be young and hot when that happens???
I'm with you though. I've got a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. If AF shows up or a BFN on Monday, I'll have the whole bottle (LOL). I've been having a beer each night during the 2ww to calm my nerves and help me get to sleep. I hear one is okay and I think one beer makes my body a better hostess for a little one than the nerves I feel b4 I have it!
Let's hope our bottles have to age for oh I don't know 9 months or so... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

l8again 07-30-2003, 11:32 AM Suki - LMAO!!!!! Oh, My God!! That was so funny. It brought me to tears!! Our kids being president and having "HOT MAMAS!" So funny. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I know I needed that.
I heard that a beer a day is good, too. I haven't drank any but maybe I should. Just to calm me down. I wonder if a glass of wine is bad???? I am really thinking about it of tonight! I doubt if I drink a glass. I will purchase THE BOTTLE and wait! Like you said, I hope it is a 9 MONTH WAIT http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
Suki & MaLaFo - Thanks for the bithday wishes! I don't feel much older. Same 'ol Same 'ol. My dh had a surprise party for me on Saturday. He is so good to me. We had a really good time. He is taking me out to eat tonight. That's a good thing, We usually do not go out to eat during the week.

Sarka 07-30-2003, 12:55 PM Hello girls... one day doesn't go by without me checking up on everyone and as Suki said my mind is busy 'worrying' about everybody else so I don't think of my 2ww anymore (all the time) My DH turns the computer on for me each morning and gets this website ready with me cup of tea http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I'm in different time zone, it's nearly 23:00... but it's still ok
And of course http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BECKY http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif - I will be 30 in November and always had the same wish like you... don't forget you will be 30 for another year - that counts! Have a good one!

goodtimes 07-30-2003, 02:23 PM http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/birthday.gif Becky!
Just wanted to say that if you feel like it a glass of wine would be fine. Most people wouldn't even know that they could be PG. Only the people who are TTC would even have a clue.
I asked my doctor about this and she said one glass during the 2ww would be fine. So if you feel like it... ENJOY!!! You deserve it! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Enjoy your dinner!
suki222: Good for you having a beer! One won't hurt anything at this point!!!
Now... all this talk makes me thristy! LOL http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/tongue.gif
Suki, I know exactly how you feel. This place is like my refuge, the one and only place where everyone shares the same feelings and totally understands. It's so comforting and wonderful to be able to help others too.
Happy Birthday l8again!!

Olderwoman 07-30-2003, 08:53 PM Suki,
I agree with everything you said - my DH thinks I obsess about this stuff - but sometimes I think they just don't get it - so it's really helpful to have others to talk to ... thanks to all
L8 - happy happy - have a great birthday and hopefully that wine will gather dust! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/birthday.gif
l8again 07-31-2003, 09:43 AM Thanks!!! Everyone for the "Birthday" wishes and the "Bottle Collecting Dust" wishes http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
Well, I ended up drinking that glass of wine. It was good (Blackberry)!!! It help warm me up a little because I was feeling rather chilly. I have a sore throat and my ears feel like they are itchy on the insides!!! I hate having a head cold!!! I have had this stupid cold for the past 3 days. I have been taking "Tylenol Cold" yesterday and this morning. I just couldn't get myself moving without it. I hope this is OK???? I have heard that "Tylenol" is OK but I don't know about the extra additives in Tylenol Cold?? I just don't want to feel like shat anymore. I also have been taking about 3 Halls cough drops during the day. It really helps to sooth my throat. I don't know if this is OK or not but I have to do something.....
Well, as you can see I am just babbeling on and on....
Best of luck to everyone http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I hope to see some BFPs soon from my 2ww buddies!!!!

sammy05 07-31-2003, 10:03 AM Happy day-late Birthday!
I too thought I would have all of my kids by 30. Thought I was the only one! I will be 30 in November and am dreading it. It told everyone not to call me.
I am glad your DH made it so nice for you and you had that glass of wine!
octobergirl 07-31-2003, 10:43 AM I would check with the doctor about that tylenol cold. I can't remember specifically, but there are certain OTC meds that are not okay to take while pregnant. I'm glad you had a good birthday, minus the cold and enjoyed your glass of wine.
l8again 07-31-2003, 12:37 PM Oh, I wanted to add this and I forgot.....
My dh gave my a very beautiful birthday card. He signed the card with a big heart and the initials LH. He said that he did not want to be called dh anymore. I asked him why??? and he said because it stands for "Damned Husband" and he doesn't like that. I told him that it stands for Darling Husband but he still insist on being called LH..... What is that you may ask..... Loving Husband.... I thought that was so cute of him. He put a huge smile on my face http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

suki222 07-31-2003, 05:39 PM You mean your LH don't you? LOL! He's funny! It's nice that he takes an interest in you on the boards other than some of our DHs who just think we're obsessed. Lucky you! Keep him!

llama mama 07-31-2003, 05:59 PM It's like you all were reading my mind! I turn 30 on Sunday and I, too, thought I would have all my kids by then. None yet, but working very hard!! I agree, everything happens for a reason. I have never felt closer to my husband than I do now after a miscarriage and lots of "breakdowns" each month when stupid AF arrives. He is awesome and, if nothing else, this has given me a chance to see his sensitive side. I know we'll all be moms some day- PMA (positive mental attitudes) everyone!!!
