View Full Version : IUI tomorrow!

I went to RE today for CD12 U/S and 5 follies had reached 17 and 18 mm. And 3 smaller ones. So when I called this afternoon she told me to go ahead and do my HCG, so I just did that at 4pm. And the IUI will be at 12pm tomorrow. I was surprised because it has always been on CD17 when they do the IUI. I am praying that it works this cycle. If not I will have to take a couple months break to save up some money.
I found out today that my Boss's wife is 6 weeks pregnant. They have been trying for a while now and she had got pregnant twice on Clomid and had m/c's both times. I am so excited for them and I am praying that she can carry the baby this time.

Hi - I'm from the UK - I had IUI 5 years ago. Soooo lucky over here, I was offered 3 FREE goes! Caught on my first one - 3 eggs took, but I miscarried one and went to to have healthy girl/boy twins at 36 weeks!

Best of luck - fingers crossed! (not the legs)!

Yay Kelly!
I have a really good feeling about this one for you. 5 follies and your hubbies supersperm, what more can you ask for?

So you were on 4 vials a day, right? What cd did you start that - and for how many days? And what else were you taking (if anything)? I want your recipe! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/idea.gif

And me with all my personal questions, can I ask when the last time your DH freshened up his supply of swimmers? I am curious because we're really trying to get my DH's #s up. He averages about 10 mil post wash (not exactly supersperm, huh?) and our RE says he should "refresh" every 3 days (and abstain 3 days prior to IUI)... timing that out is so difficult though because you never know when the follies will be ready. Just wondering what you guys do.

Best of luck to you. Think fertile thoughts and make sure your DH is relaxed tomorrow (well, not too relaxed!)

Keep us posted!

Laura

Good luck today. Maybe the fact that this month is different from the others is a good sign-I'm always looking for signs and omens like that. Don't most of us do that though? We will cross everything for you and be thinking good BFP thoughts for you.

Well I had my IUI at 1pm today and everything went great. DH's sperm count was great. I've been laying on the couch taking it easy for a few hours praying that those sperm find those eggs today. My RE also recommended we BD tomorrow just to be safe. And of course my DH just loved that. He just looked at me and smiled.

Thanks everyone for your support I just don't think I would have had the strenght to continue doing all of this. I truely appreciate each one of you and pray every day that we will all get BFP's and have healthy baby's.

laura1, I started my Bravelle injections on CD3 with 4 vials a day a shot of 2 vials at 9am and a shot of 2 vials at 9pm. I took them for 10 days. I am also on glucaphage XR 500mg one a day and prenatal vitamins. I have PCOS and that's why my RE put me only glucaphage XR. And now about my DH he does absolutely nothing to increase his count. I guess we are very lucky in that department and he doesn't abstane but for 24 hours before the IUI. I wish you and DH lots of luck.

First, I love that Sarka called you "kinky" http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif

Second, how are you feeling? Does it feel like "volcanic activity" inside your belly? If so, drink lots of fluids (Powerade or Gatorade) And don't exert yourself.
