Hello, I have this disgusting habit that’s embarrassing and tough to admit even on here. For almost a year now I’ve had a habit and chewing and spitting out food. It’s almost out of control. It seems to be an everyday thing. I go out of my way to the store JUST to by something to chew and spit. It’s disgusting. Embarrassing. I really want to quit. Mostly it’s all the same kind of food – dairy products and sweets. I’ve also wasted quite a lot of money doing this. I’ve read a bit about this on the net and how other people have done it. I haven't gained weight from doing this, I've pretty muched stayed the same weight. I’m not really sure why I do it. Boredom maybe? I’ve also struggled with anorexia (my guess is this is related?) Although I’m not dangerously underweight anymore I still have some days where I restrict. I never eat actual meals either. Mostly I just graze all day when I’m not restricting. But then there's other days where I'll just chew and spit everything and not actually "eat" anything so I really have no idea what I'm eating. But this habit has gotten out of hand and might be getting worse. I’m starting not being able to afford it. Any ideas on how to quit this? I’ve thought of just smoking a cigarette whenever I get the urge but I can’t smoke all the time. Thank you
