Today is my day 9, and just got back from the Fertility clinic. Anyhow, I'm on injectables (1st round), and according to the ultrasound I have no follicles over 1 cm. I am totally freaking out!!! I feel like screaming and crying all at the same time. They're upping the dose to 150 from 112.5. I don't want this cycle to fail...I just want to ovulate...at least if I ovulate then I can get pregnant.
Aaaggghhhh!!!
I don't know what to do.

Sorry to hear about your follies. Maybe upping the dose will help out, as everyone responds differently to medicines. Have you been taking the meds for 9 days, or is it cycle day 9?

Try not to freak out (though that's far more easily said than done) it's not good for your system. Remember, we're here for you to vent when you get frustrated.

Hope you're able to enjoy your weekend.

Hi Denise..
Haven't seen you for a while. It's nice to hear from you. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I am on cycle day 9, so on the meds for 4 days. Anyhow, I hope that I respond to these meds. I told my hubby, that I knew they weren't working because I couldn't feel it working on my ovaries. he didn't believe me, but I was right.
I know it's best to try and stay calm, but it's much harder to do that when your shelling out $1600.00 and nothin's even happening.

Thanks for letting me vent. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Rose,
For my first cycle of injectibles (Pergonal), my RE had to up the dosage from 2 vials a day (for a few days), then to 3 vials a day (few days) -- and it took several days before even teenie follies appeared. Then we went to 4 vials a day - I did 4 vials a day for 4 days and then finally 4 follies were big enough to get the HCG shot.

So, it's really trial and error. My RE said that my physiology required more medicine than others. So just stay monitored and follow your RE's instructions exactly.

I think this is perfectly normal -or at least similar to what I went through (and then voila! Follies!!!)

Rose - don't fret! Its going to be fine - medications do wonders - your follies will plump right up.

No freaking out allowed. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/nono.gif

I think it will all work itself out. Sometimes you need more than a few days of meds to see some action. Since the RE upped your dose, I'll bet things will start to pick up soon and you'll wonder why you even gave it another thought. Keep us up to date on your progress.

LOL!!

Thanks guys. I know stressing makes it worse, sometimes it's just a little harder to cope.
I will definately keep you guys posted...I think I'd feel better if I had more confidence in the care I was recieving.

Anyhow, it's good to knw that it's not too late. Thanks bmoncher...you made me cry (good cry http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif )

Thanks mbocher! I am on my 3rd cycle of gonal, great response the first two with 2 vials/day (no pg though). This cycle - PITIFUL response, up to 4 vials now, will get checked again tomorrow. These kids are already not listening to their mother! I have decided we are spending their inheritance before they are conceived http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif
