View Full Version : i feel like i need to poop but nothing comes out? and when i do poop i find blood

im a 19 y/o male about to turn 20 in a couple of months and i am having trouble falling asleep from this discomfort. Recently, about a few weeks ago, after wiping my rear i noticed there was a smear of blood on my toilet paper. i told my mother because i didn't know what to do and she had told me if it happens again she would take me to the hospital. I went to the bathroom once more afterwords and there was no sign of blood on my toilet paper. That was a few weeks ago but now i have been feeling like i need to take a good dump in the toilet but when i try to nothing comes out? only blood or at this point streaks/lines of little blood on my toilet paper. its 5:30 in the morning and i cant go to sleep..

i have been sitting around on the forums since then running back and forth to the bathroom hoping my tummy would stop feeling like it needs to go. After reading and reading i think i have an internal hemorrhoid because i do not have a bump on my anus and it doesn't itch. but ive noticed that the majority of the individuals on this site that have a particular hemorrhoid are in there 30's or more. im about to freak out i am going to schedule an appointment with my fathers doctor later(family doctor) to come to a conclusion.

please if you believe its something else.. something worth searching on the web while i try to fall asleep please put your input.

Hi, it could be a lot of things, from a hemorrhoid to an anal fissure to ibs. It might be a good idea to see a doctor. You can ask him all your questions and he can look you over and see what's going on. Do you strain when you have a bm? If you do you may be constipated. Make an appointment so you can put your mind at ease. Good luck, Suzy.

Try more fiber in your diet and drink more water, I use miralax daily and sometimes use benefiber too. You can also use milk of magnesia to get things moving. See if that helps.
Sitting in a warm bath a couple times a day helps relax you too and help promote bms. Good luck Suzy.
