how long does it take to get back pay under ssd approval

Hi Corkey; i too am in missouri.I was approved on September 24.Social security told me it is taking 4 to 6 months to get back pay.i filed for dire need and they sent me almost half of my backpay in one check.i got it this month.i am still waiting for the rest of my backpay.my check started this month.Good luck to you.:angel:
