I had a temp ileostomy when my GYN did a nic on my illeum during surgery.
I have read on prior posts that people have pain with reversals or bowel resectioning (sp?).
Has anyone ever improved from that pain.
I had a slight infection which showed up around 1 1/2 months after my surgery but my surgeon and a panel of doctors after reviewing my CAT scans felt it was not a leak or a fistula.
I am still getting slight pains especially when I eat.
Anyone else experienced this or did it get better after an ileostomy reversal.
What can I expect?

I am looking for info on how long it takes before the pain from a reversal disappears. it has been a month and a half since the surgery and I have severe pain on my right side(low in groin, like someone put a knife in me and is turning it). It will bring me down to my knees when I am just walking around. You are right, it starts and does not stop when I eat or just drink something. It seems as the goes on my bowels will start filling up and then the pain will not be as intense. Then right after a bm it starts all over again. How about you? Can you give me any insight or tips? Thanks, Katliz
