The last time I visited these boards I had no diagnosis and I think I must have posted in the Arthritis section. Since then I have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis following an MRI scan. I saw the neurosurgeon just once. He showed me the scan pictures and then said that it was too widespread to treat surgically and that he would refer me to a pain clinic. I saw the 'pain man' who gave me Pregabalin and said he would see me again in 3 months time. All my GP seems to want to do is just write out the prescription. I feel abandoned. I worry when my right foot goes cold and when I wake up every night at least twice with unexplained 'tingling' or when I wake up with the headache from hell. I just feel so alone with this and to be able to talk to people who might know what I'm saying or be able to tell me what is happening to me would be wonderful. I feel depressed and tearful but most of all abandoned.

In my opinion your best bet is to monitor your symptoms and if they get worse go back to your regular doc or perhaps a neurologist. I personally hate taking meds any more than necessary and if you feel that way too, make sure your docs know it.
I've had three MRI's post surgery (7/06, 12/07 and 10/08)(I didn't hve any hardware) and all have said that my condition hasn't changed, but each time I have a really bad spell of symptoms, its good to know.
