Would nail tips or a layer of clear nail polish help strengthen my nails?
Problems:1. Nails are thin and tend to grow out ackward (part flatten and part curve)
2. Once reaches a certain length will either bend or split
Nail bitter in childhood, but worked in chemicals(few years) in young adult life, then just mainly had to keep them short because work and family rest of time but would not like to grow them out. Rest of females in family have strong long nails

What about the men in the family - do any of them have nails like yours? If they have always been this way, it is genetic. If it is a sudden change, it could be from an internal disorder.

the guys have better looking nails than the females I think.
I am also thinking, could having to take so many different medications cause the problems even though it isn't listed as main side effects? (Had a serious CHI 5 yrs ago) (I have a nursing degree, so am understanding some of the etiology)

Are you currently a practicing nurse? Could also be from the stuff you have your hands in on a daily basis: cleaning solutions, etc.
