do you all know about two simple remedies? chewing gum and pineapple. when you get an attack, pop a piece of gum in your mouth and start chewing. instant relief. lasts hours after you get rid of the gum. also pineapple for breakfast seems to keep things under control for a long time.

in the evening i take psyllium for cholesterol reduction. i notice that shortly after i take it, i always get the acid reflux. nevertheless, there are lots of web sites telling me to take it for the reflux. what is the real thing here, psyllium or no psyllium.

Chewing gum does help me with my LPR symptoms and my Dr. says it's because your keeping the saliva moving and maybe breaks down some of the acid. I haven't tried pineapple because most fruits make me worse but I'll sure give it a try. I'm open to anything!
