i am scheduled to have surgery in 2 weeks, and i still can't decide whether to replace my memes implant with mentor implants or to simply have them removed. i have had them for 21 years, and they looked and felt great for 10 years. what are the percentages of hardening and scare tissue if i have replacement?

I don't know percentages but if you have encapsulation now, I was told years ago by my surgeon at UCLA who was the chief of staff of plastic surgery, that you will develop encapsulation again. It is the body's way of fighting a foreign object.
What was the reason you got implants to begin with? Do you have a lot of tissue but just had sagging? If that is the case, then just look into getting a lift. Alot of women were not aware of that alternative and followed the suggestion of getting implants only to learn later after removal, that they had larger breasts afterall, once they were lifted.
