I don't get hungry very often anymore and as a result I have lost ~40 pounds (still going down). 200 -> 160. So I only consume maybe 1000 calories a day. I drink a glass of milk, 8oz cup of black coffee and whatever food I have (very small portion). Also I drink lots and lots of water.

Is it normal for a 17 year old male to suddenly stop getting hungry and lose 40 pounds in 30 days?

I would say it's not at all normal and not healthy either. Rapid weight loss can be damaging to your health and might show up at some later time, if it hasn't already. I don't know your height but I'm guessing that you were overweight at 200 pounds. Are you still overweight?

Are you taking drugs for some medical condition? Something must have changed that caused you to lose your appetite. I would see a doctor.

Well now I am at 160. I just started working out because I seemed to have lost a lot of muscle -_-. Still not getting hungry, but I am not dead yet so I guess it's ok.

I do not recommend exercising if you are still not eating much. It's not safe, and you'll just lose weight faster. If your appetite comes back, certainly exercise. But for the moment, you need to figure out what is wrong with you. Have you seen a doctor? Do you have any ideas? What does your family think?

Not normal at all. Stop exercising and make an appt. with your Dr. right away. Loss of appetite and rapid weight loss can be a symptom of many medical conditions, some serious. Don't wait. Make an appt.

No. See a doctor as soon as you can.
