My appointment went well and I feel better. My surgeon did his residency at a hospital that was involved in a pilot program when Stapling was first being done.
My biggest concern is the surgery involved with the fissure, he will be cutting out part of the internal muscle. He performs 2-3 Stapling each week.
I am scheduled for surgery this Sat. at 730AM. I also am stressed that I might miss the SEC Championship game.....Roll Tide

I just had LIS surgery for a fissure and they don't cut out part of the muscle. They knick the muscle to relieve the spasms and increase the blood flow to the fissure so it can heal. If they cut too deep it can have incontinence problems but they don't cut part of the muscle out.
