Walkaide does not work for most people. You might be lucky and find yourself one who is assisted. My walkaide is my service dog:)

Work with your doctor and you will know soon enough if it is helpful. My mom has Parkinson's and was going to try it, but it did not work for her. The nice thing- it did not cost a thing as the company has a trial period of use.

Good Luck!!

the company is going to let me try it over the weekend so I will definatly give it a good try and be as objective as I can but I have heard both good and bad about the device and for the cost of the device it's going to have to be exceptional before I commit to purchasing one...Thanks for the reply...Stacy

Stacy,
Looking forward to your review as I have considered the product myself. I went as far as having the manufacturer send me an info packet. The price is, however, rather steep (as you well know). Good luck and prayers that it does what you want.

Niel, I tried the walkaide today and was not real impressed. For the cost of this item I think it should be more precise than it was. if it moves from its positioning even the slightest bit it does not help you lift your foot correctly. I was hoping it was not that sensitive as I have a very active job (on Short term disability right now) and raise border collies so I have to think about how much I move and how if this thing get moved at all it does not help me at all. You should still try one for yourself though because every case is different.I'll just stick to my brace and cane until they work out the bugs on the device.Sorry I didn't have better news....Stacy

Where do I begin, DO NOT BUY ONE !!!!!!! I purchased one 2.5 years ago they told me I was one of the first. I had to go back at least 30 -40 times to adjust it. First off it constantly slips off no matter how securely it is fastened, then after 2 years they told me it was not good for me because of a weak hip. What the heck do they think M.S. does ? Then they told me my leg was attrophied duh!!! They should never ever sell these to M.S. patients. I know have a $4500 machine to stretch my toes in the morning then I take it off.

Have you tried the Bioness L300? It uses the same sort of technology but goes about it differently. My mom uses one (stroke) and is very happy with the product.

I have read about that product...it looks like it may be better but its a couple grand more so for now I guess I'll stick to my cane and brace. Thanks for the update...Merry Christmas Stacy
