View Full Version : What do beta numbers mean?

I go for my first beta test tomorrow. I've heard everyone talk about beta numbers. What level should I be looking for? I did hpt yesterday and it showed +++ so I'm excited but nervous about these numbers....

ob/gyn's use beta hcg for a lot of reasons. they can use this method to see how far along you are and to make sure your numbers match your weeks. this is done by collecting a few samples the first one is your base line. and they will compare the next one to that number.

And don't be scared if it's a low number. The important thing is that the number doubles every 2 to 3 days. Good luck!
